BEIJING, Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The 13th China Food Safety Annual Conference was held at the Great Hall of People in Beijing, during which Infinitus (China) Company Ltd., member of LKK Health Products Group (LKKHPG), was awarded the title of "Excellent Innovative Case of China Food Safety Management."
It is the 13th consecutive year that Infinitus has been awarded by the Conference, including the titles of the "Top Ten Enterprises of China Food Safety," the "National Food Safety Demonstration Units" and the "Top 100 Creditable Demonstration Units of China Food Safety."
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it is estimated that two million deaths occur every year from unsafe food. Hence, the WHO dedicated this year's World Health Day to the issue of food safety, reminding the necessity of enhancing the food safety systems inside and between nations. The Chinese government is also actively resorting to effective measures to safeguard food safety. A good case in point is the newly-revised Food Safety Law of People's Republic of China, which was effective from 1 October 2015 and became a focal topic for comprehensive elaboration at this year's China Food Safety Annual Conference.
As an annual gala for China's food industry and a high-end platform in the field of food safety, the China Food Safety Annual Conference has been held for the 13th consecutive year. This year, it was jointly held by the member units of the Food Safety Committee of the State Council, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the National Health and Family Planning Commission, General Administration of Customs, State Administration for Industry & Commerce, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and China National Food Industry Association.
Infinitus puts quality as the foundation of business and insists that it should be well-designed. Therefore, it established and implemented the "Outstanding Supply Chain Management Model" as early as 2006, dedicated to realizing quality control over the whole industrial chain "from the field to the tongue." With stringent management throughout processes including R&D, raw material procurement, manufacturing and processing, logistics and service, Infinitus aims to satisfy customers with quality products. Thanks to the successful field practice of the model, Infinitus was granted with the title of "National Industrial Benchmarking Enterprise in Quality 2015" by the MIIT.
Infinitus also reckons that a company should repeatedly verify the rationality, effectiveness and safety of the products from the design process onwards. Therefore, Infinitus has built up a professional team of analysis and inspection, covering highly-relevant and mutually-complementary academic areas, including Chinese Medicine, Analytical Chemistry, Food Engineering, Bioscience, Microorganisms and Packing Materials.
Moreover, the Infinitus Product Inspection Center has been accredited as a National Accredited Laboratory by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). Its inspection results are considered independent, reliable and authoritative, and acknowledged by 61 countries and areas around the world.
"Since inception 23 years ago, Infinitus has regarded product quality and safety as the lifeblood of a company," Mr. Harry Yeung, Senior Vice President of LKKHPG and Spokesman of Infinitus, said, "In future, we will continue to constantly enhance the innovation of R&D and exert stringent quality management over the whole industrial chain, in order to provide consumers with high-quality Chinese herbal health products and services and assist them in realizing a healthy life."
